Since 1990, the Poly-Monde student initiative brings together future engineers selected for their professional qualities and their curiosity towards foreign cultures and international innovation and engineering. Through an industrial mission here and abroad, they seek to understand the global industrial context marked by the emergence of new markets, international competition and globalization. The countries analysed and visited during the mission are selected each year for their leadership in key industrial sectors of the economy. From September to April, members visit 30 Canadian companies working in the targeted industrial sectors, serving as points of comparison between the Canadian economy and that of the host countries. In addition to these visits, members are fully responsible for organizing, planning and implementing the visits, funding, logistics and visual identity of the project.
This year, the mission focuses on the sectors of mining and metallurgy, infrastructure and construction, and energy by establishing an economic comparison between Quebec and Chile.

The results of the analysis will be presented in an official report launched at the end of the mission and in online publications available on our website and shared on social media.
